根据星报，大马电检局已经批准该部电影在大马上映，分级成P13，未满13岁观众须家长与监护人陪同才可观赏。大马电检局也表示，关于同志情节的片段将被删剪！

The Star Online 报道证实，拟于3月16日全国上映的Beauty & The Beast将被取消！The Walt Disney Co (马来西亚) 也证实，3月16日于全马电影院上映的Beauty & The Beast将被延迟上映，直到内部审查结果出炉！该公司没有给予延迟上映的理由，也没说几时可以上映！
